St. Olaf Childcare Center uses a Christ-centered curriculum that integrates biblical principles and stories into monthly themes. We developed our curriculum in-house over the last 20+ years to ensure the best learning experience for your child. The curriculum encourages active, hands-on learning and builds on each child's unique abilities and learning styles. As well, our curriculum is designed to spark your child's interest and curiosity for learning. Our emphasis is on developing the whole child while also preparing children for kindergarten skills. Our PreK classes prepare your child for an academic kindergarten program.
St. Olaf Childcare Center believes that play is a very important element that provides the foundation for children’s development. Play encourages the children to be creative while developing essential skills such as imagination, physical, emotional and cognitive skills, dexterity, problem solving and self-confidence. Play is fundamental to early brain and language development. Our emphasis is to persistently encourage and motivate our students through an enriching environment with activities that promote a healthy development.
Our Goal is to enrich all areas of the child's development:
COGNITIVE: logical reasoning, problem solving
SOCIAL: developing friendships, cooperation
EMOTIONAL: security, self-esteem
PHYSICAL: motor skills, eye-hand coordination
CREATIVITY: art, dance, music
SPIRITUAL: Christian values
